Maljohn Company was conceived and commenced in the spring of 1976. Originally as a ‘Rep’ company searching out products to provide abrasion resistance products to the Canadian and U.S. grain handling industry. At that time little or no plastics products were used in either small or large grain elevators.
After many months of experimenting and ‘proving’ the extended wear plastics could supply to organizations such as Cargill, United Grain Growers, Bunge, Alberta Wheat Pool and many others. Maljohn Company was set up to produce sensible economically sound products to meet their needs.
Our first products manufactured in Hamilton in 1978 included flex loading spouts (originally used in prairie grain elevators for box car loading); flat and round bottom drag conveyor flights and paddles; rollers and roller assemblies, all custom made to order.
Maljohn and Maljohn Plastics Company is a custom manufacturer, fabricator- former; of economically sound and durable plastic products. We are dedicated to providing our distributors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (O.E.M’s) and end users with the ‘correct’ or most suitable plastics products, accurately made, and delivered on time.
